Division B • Grades 6–9

Middle School Teams

Cumberland Valley fields two middle school Science Olympiad teams — Eagle View and Mountain View — where our future Olympians take flight.

About the Program

Science Olympiad at Our Middle Schools

Cumberland Valley's two middle schools — Eagle View Middle School and Mountain View Middle School — each field a Science Olympiad team competing in Division B (grades 6–9). Together they form the foundation of the CV Science Olympiad pipeline, introducing students to the events, teamwork, and thrill of competition years before high school.

Middle schoolers explore the full range of Science Olympiad — from study events like Anatomy & Physiology, Meteorology, and Dynamic Planet, to hands-on lab events like Crime Busters and Circuit Lab, to build events like Elastic Launched Gliders, Boomilever, and Scrambler. With guidance from coaches and high school mentors, students discover the science that excites them most while building study habits, engineering skills, and friendships that last.

Both teams prepare throughout the year and compete at middle school invitationals and the regional tournament. Many members go on to join the Cumberland Valley High School team — making our middle schools the launch pad for CV's Science Olympiad success. New members are always welcome, with no prior experience needed.
